This week's #SundayScriptClub read is by writer + director, Dan Gilroy. This is the most unusual screenplay I've ever read, in the best way possible. From exposition to story structure, this screenplay was a gripping read and unlike any screenplay I've ever read before.
As a protagonist, Lou is the ultimate anti-hero, and it was a breath of fresh air to read a script with such an eccentric and self-obsessed lead character. Does anyone have any film / screenplay recommendations for more anti-hero stories?
Aside from this week's Sunday Script Club read, it's been rather an eventful week in regards to the absolute balls-up that is Brexit, but I also met up with a couple of old university pals for drinks in Old Street (new favourite area of London for an after work drink - highly recommend).
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" - Mary Oliver
Unfortunately the world lost an absolute literary hero this week, Mary Oliver. The quote above is one I've always tried to live by ever since I was a teenager. I'm intrigued, what are your plans are for this crazy life?
